Learnability
Learnability is the degree to which users can easily learn how to use a software product to accomplish their tasks effectively.

Learnability measures how quickly new or infrequent users understand and become productive with an application through its interface, documentation, and workflows.
Ease of learning: New users should understand basic tasks quickly.
User experience: Clear navigation and consistent design improve learnability.
Testing focus: Usability testing evaluates how easily users learn the system.
Real World Example
A project management tool is functionally excellent, and experienced users report it's fast and powerful, but new sign-ups have a high abandonment rate within their first session.
Efficiency and satisfaction data from existing power users looks great, masking the fact that first-time users can't figure out how to create their first project without external help — a tool being usable for experts says nothing about Learnability for someone brand new.
The tester evaluates Learnability specifically: recruiting people who have never seen the tool before, giving them no training, and measuring how long it takes them to complete a basic first task using only the interface itself, along with how many need help or give up.
The study finds new users spend an average of eight minutes just locating the "create project" button, hidden inside a settings menu instead of the main dashboard — a Learnability defect completely invisible in the satisfaction scores of existing users who already knew where to look.
