Testability is the degree to which a software system supports efficient and effective testing.

Highly testable software is easier to observe, control, isolate, and verify, enabling faster defect detection and simpler maintenance.
Observability: Internal behavior can be examined.
Controllability: Inputs and states can be manipulated easily.
Maintainability: Better design improves testing efficiency.
Real World Example
A regulated product team is preparing a release where Testability appears in reviews, test design conversations, or defect triage rather than as an isolated glossary word.
The risk is that the team treats Testability as interchangeable with nearby ISTQB terms. That makes test scope blurry and can lead to weak evidence for the release decision.
